Anna Tucker, 61, of Newland, NC gained her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Born in Rutherford County, NC on December 24, 1961, she was the daughter of the late James Warren Tucker and Velma Davise Arrowood Tucker.
Anna fought through adversity in life with determination, a unique sense of humor, and constant caring for others. She lived a simple lifestyle on her own terms. Because of her beautiful spirit people naturally gravitated toward her and she created an atmosphere of acceptance and comfort.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Gannon (John); granddaughter, Harley Walker (Garrett); great-grandchildren, Mayla and Nyrie Walker; long-time companion, Jim Clark; siblings, Denise Tucker, James Warren Tucker, Jr., and Anita Tucker; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by two siblings, Terry Tucker Terry and Ricky Dean Tucker.
Services for Anna will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to assist with expenses.
