Anna Belle Parks Hibbard, 74, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Born October 15, 1943 in Burke County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Mort Henry Parks and Edna Pauline Alexander Parks.
Mrs. Hibbard was a member of Linville United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that loved her family dearly. She retired from Lenoir Police Department where she was a telecommunicator. She also worked for many years in Burke County Law Enforcement. Anna Belle enjoyed camping and doing anything with her family or her little dog, "Precious”.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are sons, Jeff Hibbard and wife, Tamara of Swan Quarter and Charlie Hibbard and wife, Angela; grandchildren, Jeffrey Hibbard, Chesnee Hibbard Trybuskiewicz, Jacob Hibbard, April Bivens, Amanda Presnell, Samantha Byrd, Olivia Thornton, Alex Parks, and Liam Hibbard; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are a brother, Robert Parks; numerous nephews and nieces; and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Charles Hibbard and a brother, Mort Henry Parks, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3 at Sossoman Funeral Home. There will be a private family service held at Linville United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy McAbee officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
