Ann Chapman, 79, of Morganton, NC, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023.
Born in the South Mountains area of Burke County, NC on August 31, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Joe Chapman and Estelle Carswell Chapman. Ann loved her dog, Coco, and enjoyed taking him for walks.
Ann is survived by her friends who were like sisters, Ruth Reed, Melissa Gwyn, and Lola Turbyfill.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Chapman, who took care of her until his death.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Pastor Luke Gwyn officiating.
Burke Long Term Care and Medi Home Hospice demonstrated remarkable compassion in their care of Miss Chapman.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
