Andrew Ervin Hennessee, 83, a loving husband, Dad, Paw Paw, and Great Paw Paw, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at home with his family by his side.  He was the son of Millard Tate Hennessee, Sr. and LaMere Kincaid Hennessee.  He was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church and leader of the mission team for several years.  He was Chief of the Burke County Rescue Squad for fifteen years.  Being the leader of these dedicated volunteers, they became one of the state’s top rescue squads, of which he was very proud.  He loved laughter and to tell and listen to jokes pulled on the squadsmen and mission team.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 63 years, Patsy Clay Hennessee; sons, Mick Hennessee (Shari) and Phil Hennessee (Diane); daughter, Phyllis Wright (David); grandchildren, Jason Wright (Whitney), Matt Wright (Lia), Andy Hennessee (Holly), Mikey Hennessee (Tabitha), Josh Hennessee (Jennifer), McKayla Hennessee, and Mason Hennessee; great-grandchildren, Cole, Luke, Elli, Paige, Parker, Meghan, and Briar; step-grandchildren, Emily, Sam, Kate, Riley, and Cameron; sister, Lena Cooper; sister-in-law, Julie Hennessee; and special God-daughter, Betsy Steele.
