Amanda Dawn Shaffer, 47, of Morganton, NC passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Born in Burke County, NC on November 15, 1978, she was the daughter of Luther William Kimmer, Jr. and the late Marie Kimmer. Amanda was a loving mother, daughter, and sister who will be remembered for her kind heart and the love she shared with those around her. She found peace and joy at the lake and the beach.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jacob Shaffer; daughter, Brittany Kimmer; Jacob’s father, Terry Shaffer; brother, Keith Kimmer (Tammy); sister, Tracie Kimmer; nephews, Cody and Patrick Kimmer; aunt, Debbie White; and cousins, Starla Chandler and Dorris Holland.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
