Alvin Eugene Pruitt, 73, of Connelly Springs, NC passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
Born in Burke County, NC on May 18, 1950, he is the son of the late Edison Pruitt and Ruby Chapman Pruitt.
Alvin was a member of Hoyle Memorial Christian Fellowship. He was bigger than life itself and was a force of nature. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed helping anyone in need.
A loving husband, father, and brother, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patsy Smart Pruitt; children, Roger McCall, Russell McCall, Faye Jones (Marty), and Billy McCall (Janet); grandchildren, Joseph Jones, Derrick McCall (Kelly), Ashley Willix (Richard), Jonathan McCall, and Amber Henson; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Dionne, Glenn Pruiett (Connie), Perry Pruitt (Angela), Faye Hamby (Phillip), and Michael Pruitt (Wendy); and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by siblings, Clyde Pruitt, Howard Pruitt, Dorothy Cook, Joey Lowman, and Bonnie Fredell; and brother-in-law, Willard Dionne.
Services for Alvin will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
