Catherine Deana Martinez, 72, of Morganton, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Born in Hernando County, FL on March 21, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Ernesto Martinez and June Catherine Bolt Martinez.
Catherine was a very outgoing person who got along with everyone. She worked as a waitress for many years at various restaurants.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Deanna Lynn Causby; granddaughter, Ella Causby; half-sister, Barbara Burks; nephew, Jason Burks; and niece, Rachel Jackson.
No services are planned at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Dear Cathy, My Sister, I Heart hurts over this but I know you are in a better place. You will get to see Grandma Violet again and how much she Loved you and your closeness to her.
