Albert Clarence Homan, 93, of Morganton, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Amorem Hospice in Valdese, NC. Albert was born on October 6, 1932 in Randolph, Wisconsin. He was the son of John and Anne (Westra) Homan. Al moved to Morganton, NC in March, 2024, due to declining health, from West Palm Beach, FL where he lived for sixty-eight years, raised his family and partnered with his cousin, Eldon Syens to start Television Service Center. After several years, the two joined Clarence Clark to start CHS Interprises Construction Company where he worked until he retired. Al married Patricia Ross on May 29, 1997 and enjoyed twenty-five wonderful years together before her passing on October 1, 2022.
Al enjoyed hard work, Nascar racing, camping, fishing, golfing, ice cream, playing the guitar and singing with the Bluegrass Ramblers, but spending time with friends and family and the Lord was his top priority.
In addition to his parents and wife, Albert was preceded in death by his step-mother, Nellie Homan; daughter, Pamela and her husband, Edward Koornneef.
He is survived by his children, Sheryl Gills (Keith) and Larry Homan (Tess); step-daughter, Debra Andrews; step-son, Dave Bjorn (Dru); sister, Katherine Thompson (Ronald); nine grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Albert will be laid to rest next to his wife, Patricia at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice, 1721 Enon Rd, Valdese, NC 28690.
