Adrien Thomas, Sr., 76, of Morganton, NC, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Born in Canada on April 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Paul Thomas and Marcelline Beland Thomas.

Adrien was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a jack-of-all-trades and had knowledge about almost anything. Adrien enjoyed traveling, especially to Vermont, and he loved NASCAR and rooted for Chase Elliot.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Adrien Thomas, Jr. and Paul Thomas (Ellen); daughters, Melissa Oakes and Sherri Snow; daughter-in-law, Candace Thomas; grandchildren, Cheryl Bentley, Scott Bentley, George Bentley (Wendy), Kayla Pendley (Nick), Victoria Hensley (Zach), Lenni Travis (Andrew), Ashlynn Miller (Jason), Adrienne Snow (Sade), Skylar Snow (Julie), Adrien Thomas, III, Savannah Thomas, Jamie Leigh Thomas, Samantha Parton, and Josh Wilson; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchild; brothers, Richard Thomas and Gerald Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Adrien was preceded in death by three wives, Sheryl Thomas, Diane Thomas, and Janet Thomas; and a son, Travis Thomas.

No services are planned at this time.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I will truly miss you pawpaw and I love you so much and thank you for being there through my rebellious teenage years and being my rock into almost adulthood. I wish u were here just a little longer cuz now that you're gone there's so much more I wish I would have said. But I like to know you are in a better place and healthy again and I will see you again someday.
