Vivian E. Watson Cook

Vivian E. Watson Cook, 78, of Morganton died Friday, April 2, 2021. Born in Caldwell County, NC on February 19, 1943, she was the daughter of the late William Gurney Watson and Ivelta Valentine Watson Greene.
Vivian is survived by her sons, Greg Whisenant and Bryan “PeeWee” Whisenant; daughter, Kim Whisenant; grandchildren, Brandon Whisenant, Ashley Whitt, Seth Whisenant, Courtney Palmer, and Taylor Lawson; great-grandchildren, Maddie Rae Palmer, Braylee Faith Palmer, Harper Blake Lawson, Eli Whitt, and Kadence Whisenant; and sisters, Gwen Steger, Carol Taylor, and Nina Dula.
In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Cook; brother, Edward Watson; and sister, Leola Wolfe.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery in Patterson, NC with Rev. Bobby Pritchard officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Yadkin Baptist Church or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
