David H. Day
March 16, 1944 to Feb. 20, 2021
David H. Day, 76, of Morganton, NC passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021. Born on March 16, 1944, he was the son of the late Guy Elbert Day and Marilyn Finken Day. David was a member of North Morganton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his wife. He loved his family dearly.
David is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Barbara Day; daughters, Christa Smith (Jason) and Cathy Barlow (Buddy); grandchildren, Jessica Pearson, Jasmine Perry (Zach), Alison Barlow and Faith Barlow; great-granddaughter, Harper Pearson; sisters, Joyce Myers and JoAnn Blake; brother, Dick Day.
The memorial service will be at 1:00pm, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the North Morganton United Methodist Church Columbarium with Rev. Burt Williams officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/northmorganton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Morganton UMC, 990 Sanford Dr., Morganton, NC 28655.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
