Sadie Alice Bradshaw Chapman, 85, of Morganton, NC died Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Born on February 28, 1931, in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late John Bradshaw and Nora Shull Bradshaw.
Sadie was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and loved her family dearly. She liked flowers of all kinds.
Sadie is survived by her son, Bill Chapman and wife, Lorraine of Morganton; daughter, Jennie Hutchins of Morganton; granddaughter, Mary Alice Gladden and husband, Keith; and beloved great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Chapman; grandson, Jonathan Hutchins; and all of her brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, (2396 Enola Road). The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Eldon Hinegardner and Rev. Burl Sain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
