Ralph Walter Nusz, 86, of White St., Morganton, NC died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at BMA of Burke County following a period of declining health. He was born February 4, 1920 in Enid, Oklahoma, and was a son of the late Fred and Anna Martins Nusz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Quteen M. Nusz. Ralph served in the US Army during World War II, and he was a member of Morganton Wesleyan Church. He was a self-employed carpenter.

Ralph is survived by a son, Tony Nusz and wife, Lena of Morganton; daughters, Lynn Nusz and Evanna Caldwell, both of Morganton, Judy Mace and husband, Ron of Kingsport, TN, Joy Meyer and husband, Tom of Edgewater, FL, and Kristy Taylor and husband, Steven of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Leo Nusz of Kansas; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Morganton Wesleyan Church with Rev. Bake Garman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes before the funeral hour. Memorial contributions may be made to Morganton Wesleyan Church, 305 Bethel St., Morganton, NC 28655.
