Phyllis J. Conrad, 80, of Morganton, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
She was born in Los Angeles County, CA on October 22, 1943 to the late Elmer Haskell and Beatrice Haskell. She loved the Lord, her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading the Bible, shopping, cooking, and watching crime documentaries.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her sister, Lea Miller.
Those left to cherish her memories include her son, James Conrad (Lena); grandson, Elijah Conrad; and twin sisters, Kay Chalk (Ken), and Gay Ide (Paul).
A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Thrive Church with Pastor Paul Kidd officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I love Phyllis so much. I was privileged to have spent time with her at the assisted living home. We developed a close relationship and I always looked forward to seeing her. She spoke of her family often and lovingly. I was so saddened to see that she had passed away. I miss her but look forward to the hope of seeing her upon Jesus’ return
