Paul Robert Scott III

Paul Robert Scott III, age 53, of Morganton, NC., passed away Monday, April 18th, 2022 while surrounded by his wife, children, siblings, and family. He was born on January 16, 1969 to Paul Robert Scott II and Linda Lou Lollar in Los Angeles, CA. Paul worked as a welder/fabricator for over 30 years; his career took him to many destinations around the U.S. His love for motorcycles introduced him to many friends who became family to him. Paul loved taking his most treasured accessory everywhere with him on his Harley Davidson, his beautiful wife. When not riding his motorcycle you would find him working around the house and yard with his little shadow Londyn, granddaughter, either by his side or wrapped in his arms. He enjoyed creating sculptures out of metal, hiking, canoeing, and grilling for family and friends.

Paul loved spending time with his grandchildren, always finding ways to entertain them and making every moment special for them. He would take Oliver, grandson, for motorcycle rides and called him “little critter.”He loved reading books to Scarlette, playing soccer, and taking her swimming. Scarlette would video chat with her Papa daily to share her adventures and “I love you’s.”

Paul is survived by his father Paul Robert Scott II and wife Diane of Morganton, NC., his mother; Linda Lou Lollar of San Angelo, TX., brother; Kendall Parker Scott and wife Paulina of Holiday, FL., sister; Milinda June Tanner and husband Kent of Highlands Ranch, CO.; his wife, Tracie Kay Scott of Morganton, NC.; sons; Travis William Thomas and wife Danielle of Morganton, NC., Jacob Arin Scott of Newton, NC.; daughters; Danielle Fallisha Thomas of Morganton, NC., Mariah Anne Cerny and husband Andrew of Waldorf, MD. He was a proud Papa to granddaughter, Londyn; grandson, Oliver; granddaughter Scarlette, and grandson Eli.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grace and Frye Hospital’s for taking such great care of him. Also, the Sossoman Funeral Home, family, and friends. A special thank you to Floyd Andrew Scott “Uncle Andy” of Hernando, MS., and the Morganton Church of Christ, Morganton, NC.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Morganton Church of Christ, 404 Lenoir Rd, Morganton, NC 28655.
