Myrtle Fox

Myrtle Fox, 107, of Morganton died Sunday, August 5, 2018.  Born in Burke County, NC on September 17, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Mack Wilson and Susan Belle Cloer Wilson.  Myrtle was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church.  She was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord; a true prayer warrior.  She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to cook and bake.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Fox Gauldin (Alfred) of Martinsville, VA; 7 grandchildren; and numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edgar Fox, Sr.; children, Paul E. Fox, Jr., Bobby E. Fox, Sr., and Marie Fox Langille; granddaughters, Pamela Langille and Kimberly Fox Barrier; 9 brothers; and a sister.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Clyde Buckner officiating.  Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
