Marsha Anderson, 74, of Morganton, NC died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Born in Burke County, NC on February 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Henry Hardy Anderson, Sr. and Myrtle Moss Anderson.
Marsha loved children and teaching art. She was also known as the “Old Green Witch.” Marsha loved to laugh. She embraced life with her compassion for the arts and loved to assist others in their journey of life.
Marsha is survived by her daughter, Laura Ann Hurt of Morganton; a brother, Henry “Butch” Anderson of Morganton; and nieces, Ellen Anderson Settlemyer of Morganton and Katie Anderson Sturgeon of Hickory.
In addition to her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by her daughter, Buffy Hurt Brown.
A gathering of friends will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
