Linda Mace, 82, of Morganton, NC, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023 into the arms of Jesus at Carolina Caring in Newton, NC, surrounded by her loved ones. Born 11/26/1940 in Crossnore, NC, she was the daughter of the late Columbus Warsaw Clark and Delphia Church Clark.
Linda lived a beautiful life blessed and sustained by her relationship with her Heavenly Father. She was an amazing, Godly mother, mawmaw and very special blessing to everyone and every animal that met her. She loved to laugh, eat and fellowship with family & friends. She loved worshipping & growing her relationship with God and listening to blue grass music. Most of all, she loved being a mawmaw to her precious grandchildren.
Ms. Mace is survived by her sons; Leslie Mace (Stephanie) and Matthew Mace (Amy), her daughters; Rhonda Webb (George) and Jeanie Kirby (Jimmy), her grandchildren; Ashley Mace, Andrew Mace, Siera Kirby and Katie Kirby, her step-grandchildren; Jordan Zuzolo and Meghan Zuzolo, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephew and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Sandy Clark, sister-n-law, Marie Hughes Clark, niece, Deborah Clark Franklin, and nephew, Mark Greene.
Services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Carolina Caring Foundation, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658 in hopes of helping others experience the wonderful care, peace, comfort, compassion and support they provided for Linda and family.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
