Jimmy Rogers Jr., 92, went to his Lord and Savior, Sunday, September 18, 2022. Born on June 9, 1930, he was the son of the late James and Florence Rogers. Jimmy was a faithful member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. He worked at Drexel Furniture, Century Chair, and Henredon Furniture. Jimmy enjoyed fishing. He was a loving family man.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 73 years, Virginia Ruth Rogers; sons, Tim Rogers, James E Rogers (Patsy); daughter-in-law, Sharon Rogers; daughters, Carolyn Garrison, Margaret Phillips (Jimmy); 5 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley Rogers.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his son, Jerry W. Rogers; 3 brothers, 5 sisters, 3 grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 11am until noon, Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Silver Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at noon in the church with the Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
