Jimmy Ray Hasson, Sr., 75, was called to his final mission on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Carolina Rehab, where had resided for the past year due to declining health. Born in Sumrall, MS on August 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Arthur Hasson and Ruby Nobles Hasson. Jimmy was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired minister. He dedicated years of his life as founder of Hallelujah Square Gospel Music Ministry.Jim leaves behind his wife, Claudette Buchanan Hasson of the home; sons, Mike Hasson and his wife, Cindy, Rick Hasson and his wife, Kelly, and Ray Hasson and his wife, Debbie; daughters, Cissy Thompson and her husband, Bill, Cindy Hutto and her husband, Allen, and Sandra Thompson and her husband, Ray; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Rex Hasson and his wife, Cindy, of Albany, GA and Larry Hasson of Elizabeth City, TN; a sister, Maxine Miller and her husband, Jack, of Woodstock, GA; a brother-in-law, Everette Aultman of Hattiesburg, MS; and a sister-in-law, Mary Hasson of Jackson, MS.In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Hasson, and a sister, Betty Aultman.The celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Shuffler and Brother Rick Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the N.C. National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church Youth Fund, P.O.
