Jeff Whyle-Spitz

Jeff Whyle-Spitz, 50 of Morganton, NC went to be in the arms of Jesus on Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 6, 1965. He was the son of Jack Whyle-Spitz of Morganton and JoRene (Mashek) Valkirs of Maui, Hawaii. Jeff was a very caring person with a precious kind heart. He never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone. Jeff had a deep love for all animals. He enjoyed working at Morganton Health Foods store where he made a lot of friends.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his fianceé, Brenda Bentley; step-mother, Beatrice Whyle-Spitz; step-father, Gunars Valkirs; daughters, Alissa Stevens of Austin, TX and Brooke Whyle-Spitz of Portland, OR; and sister, Jamie Burks and husband, Ron of Honolulu, Hawaii.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Pastor Rick Mercer officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke County Friends for Animals, P.O. Box 1884, Morganton, NC 28680.
