Jackie Webb, 88, of Morganton, NC, died Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Born in Burke County, NC on February 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John Ambrose Willis and Pauline Hutchins Willis.

Jackie was a volunteer at Foothills Thrift Store. She enjoyed gospel music, flowers, reading, traveling, and was a good cook. She loved her family dearly.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Bruce Webb; daughters, Gail Gibson (David), Kathy Phillips (Ron Michaux), and Penny Blades; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Burla Willis; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special canine companion, Angel.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a son, John Steven Phillips; brother, John Everett Willis; and sister, Rama Piercy.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Tumor Foundation or to Foothills Service Project.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
