Helen A. Sanders

Helen A. Sanders, 89, of Morganton, NC went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, April 26, 2018.  Born October 09, 1928 in Buncombe County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Sanders and Geneva Thomas Sanders.

Helen was a member of Grandview Baptist Church where she loved to cook and work in the nursery and helped raise many children in the church.  She was a very sweet lady that was a joy to be around and was loved by everyone.  She also loved to help her sister pull weeds in the garden.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by sisters, Victoria Goldsmith, Marie Ward, Reva Sanders, and Lucille Sanders and brothers, James Sanders, Roy Sanders, and Bobby Gene Sanders.

Those left to cherish her sweet memories are a sister, Elizabeth McClure and a number of nephews, nieces, and extended family.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Whisnant officiating.
