Ethel Milligan Sisk

Ethel Milligan Sisk, 89, of Drexel, NC went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Autumn Care surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters. Born in Burke County, NC on September 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Perry Frank Milligan and Linnie Mae Deaton Milligan. Ethel was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church on Dysartsville Road. She took good care of her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.Ethel is survived by her daughter, Janice Pinson and husband, William, of Morganton; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Annie Milligan Carson.In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, George Dewey Sisk; children, Betty Lou Sisk, Tony Martin Sisk, and George Randy Sisk; and brothers, Loy Milligan, Howard Milligan, Preston Milligan, and Harry Milligan.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2011 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. April Abernethy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
