Elizabeth "Lib" Holcombe Cooper

Elizabeth “Lib” Holcombe Cooper, 76, of Morganton, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, March 11, 2016 at her residence. Born in Greenville County, SC on January 27, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Bernice Holcombe. Until her illness, Lib was a very active member serving in various positions at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and loved her church family. Lib never met a stranger and was a ray of sunshine and blessing for all those she encountered.
She is survived by children, Tim Cooper and friend, Barbara Taranto of Morganton and Tammy Cooper Roberts and husband, Pete of Lumberton; brothers, Jim Holcombe and wife, Lori and Frank Holcombe, all of Greer, SC; and grandchildren, Desirae Cooper of Morganton and Olivia Roberts of Lumberton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Cooper and son, Michael Cooper.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. The funeral will follow in the church at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
