Diana S. Rath, 76, of Morganton, NC, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022.
She was born in Nebraska on November 9, 1945 to the late William and Dorothy Paterakis. Diana enjoyed crafts, art, visiting the Senior Center, volunteering at Burke Hospice, and fostering for Friends for Animals.
Mrs. Rath is survived by her husband, John Rath; daughters, Holly Wright (Tim Brinson) and Melanie Hammond (Mendel Miller); grandsons, Casey and Chance; brothers, Billy Paterakis and Terry Paterakis, nephew, Daniel Paterakis; nieces, Amber Paterakis and Denise Paterakis and many friends at the Burke Senior Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Ronald Chouinard.
No services are planned for Mrs. Rath.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke County Friends for Animals.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
