Connie Sue Clontz Pressler, 72, of Burke County, formerly of Charlotte, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 9, 2021. Born on May 11, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Erastus Jones and Margaret White Clontz. Connie attended Central Church of God in Charlotte where she served in the church jail ministry, as a Sunday School teacher, and in the prayer ministry. Connie graduated from CPCC with a Paralegal Degree and retired from the Mecklenburg County Health Department after almost 30 years of service. Connie loved beach vacations with her family, spending time with her friends, and wearing her favorite hats. Most of all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and Christian. Her family was her ministry, and she was always there to support in any way that she could. The seeds she planted for Christ, through her faith, have touched the lives of many. She went above and beyond, and she leaves a legacy of love that is felt by everyone who knew her. She was deeply loved.

Connie is survived by her son, Allen Pressler (Renee); daughter, Susan Pressler Matheson (Dillon); grandchildren, Hannah Connors, Kristen Pressler, Holly Dellinger, and Lauren Pressler; great-grandchild, Rayne Connors; brother, Van Clontz; sisters, Joyce Cagle, Clara Hunt, Trudy Williams, and Reba Lingerfeldt; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brothers, Norvin Clontz Sr., Wayne Clontz, George Clontz, and Johnny Clontz; sisters, Mary Wilson and Nell Kelley.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2021 at First Advent Christian Church. The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastor Greg Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her mother and father.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
