Barbara Ann Greene, 77 of Morganton, NC passed away, Sunday, December 24, 2023. Born on May 15, 1946, she was the daughter to the late Matthew and Della Clarke. Barbara was a member of Hartland Missionary Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara enjoyed watching her pride and joy, Kira, play sports and who she loved fiercely. She filled everyone’s lived with warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her legacy of kindness and laughter will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her. Barbara was a guiding light, and her memory will continue to inspire us.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 59 years, David Greene; daughter, Cathy Lynn Suttles and husband, Ronnie; granddaughter, Kira Suttles; sister, Bonnie Coleman and husband, Ronald.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Rickie David Greene; brothers, Mason Clarke, Max Clark, James “Monroe” Clark, Johnny Clarke.

The Family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Friday, December 29, 2023 at Hartland Missionary Methodist Church. The funeral will be held in the church at 3pm with the Rev. Danny Carr and Evangelist Jamie Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Houck Cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
